Date Stamps helps you add visible dates, optional places and frames to your photos, and crop individual photos. Use photos you own or have permission to edit and share.
A crop applies only to the photo you edit. Date stamps and frames are positioned relative to that crop. Tap Done to apply it in the editor, then use the normal save flow to export. Reset restores the full image in the crop editor. Removing a photo from a batch does not delete it from Apple Photos.
Saving new copies is the default and leaves your originals unchanged. Editing an eligible original is a separate advanced action requiring explicit confirmation. Cropping reduces pixel dimensions and frames add canvas. Exports are still JPEG or PNG files and do not preserve RAW, HDR-specific properties or Live Photo motion.
Verify dates, places, crop boundaries and the final appearance before saving or sharing. Metadata may be missing or inaccurate; visible date and place labels are not proof of when or where a photo was taken. Printed location text remains visible even when GPS metadata is removed.
Photo editing runs on your device. iCloud originals may need downloading before editing, and optional city lookup sends coordinates to Apple only after confirmation. Saved photos may sync through your own iCloud Photos settings. Available features depend on the installed app version; crop is included in version 1.0.0 build 14 and later.
Date Stamps is a photo-editing tool, not a backup service. Keep a separate backup of important photos and check exported files before deleting originals. Saving new copies is the default; editing an original requires a separate confirmation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for the loss, corruption or unavailability of photos or related data arising from processing, cropping, exporting, saving or synchronizing photos with Date Stamps, including interrupted operations and device, storage or third-party service failures.
This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit your mandatory consumer rights.
