Each photo starts with its EXIF or Apple Photos capture date. Choose the format in Settings. Tap the date in the editor to change only that photo; Original date restores its capture date.
No. Choose Photos uses Apple's private picker. Save to All Photos needs only permission to add photos. Browsing or creating albums requires Full Photos Access. Limited access shows only the photos you allow.
Place can show existing photo GPS or a label you type. Find City sends those coordinates to Apple only after confirmation. It never requests your current location. Photos without location can still have a date stamp.
New copies leave originals unchanged. To try another style, select the original again. Exported photos can be selected and stamped again. For in-place edits, use Revert to Original in Apple Photos.
Exports are still JPEG or PNG images; animation, RAW and HDR are not preserved. Uncropped photos retain native pixel dimensions within device memory limits and the 64 MP limit. Cropping reduces image dimensions; frames add canvas around the cropped photo. Save a new copy to keep the original.
Yes. In Edit Date Stamp, long-press the photo preview or its thumbnail and choose Crop photo. Pinch to zoom, drag to reposition, or adjust the corners. Choose Freeform, Original, Square, 4:5, 4:3 or 16:9, then tap Done. The crop applies only to that photo; its date stamp and frame follow the new composition.
Open Crop photo again and tap Reset to restore the full image, or Cancel to discard that round of crop changes. Long-press and choose Remove this photo to remove it from the editing batch, not from Apple Photos. Saving new copies keeps your originals unchanged.
